What are the standard triathlon race distances?

Super Sprint: 375m swim, 10km bike, 2.5km run; Sprint: 750m swim, 20km bike, 5km run; Olympic: 1500m swim, 40km bike, 10km run; Half Ironman (70.3) 1.2mi swim, 56mi bike, 13.1mi run; Ironman (140.6) 2.4mi swim, 112mi bike, 26.2mi run.

Do I have to participate in Triathlons to be a part of the club?

Absolutely not! There are no requirements for joining other than abiding by the code of ethics and conduct. We have members that are focused solely on running, cycling, swimming, adventure races, and so on.

Do club members get to train together?

Yes, we have monthly organized training sessions. These training events will be published in the events section.

Do club members have access to a coach?

Yes, many of our organized training sessions will be coach lead. Club members also get free access to a training camp in the early spring.

What age does my child have to be to participate?

Your child can be 6-19, or even collegiate, to be a part of the elite program. Their gge is determined by their age on December 31 of this year.

How long is the Youth and Junior season? What is their race schedule?

The youth and junior season is year round, with practices offered weekly. The race schedule varies with the seasons.

How often do the youth and juniors practice? What time are practices held?

It depends on the age of your child, but there are many opportunities. Contact us for more details.

We live too far away to take advantage of all the practices, what options do you offer for that?

We don't offer any options for this. We cannot replace the quality of hands-on coaching and learning.

What sorts of equipment does my child need to participate?

Athletes will need the basic swim training equipment (fins, paddles, kick board, pull buoy). Athletes will need a road bike, helmet, wetsuit and running shoes at a minimum. Training apparel such as bike shorts, swim suits, and other items are highly recommended.

What can I do to help the program? Where can I find out more information?

There are so many ways you can help this program, but the best way to help us is to tell people about us! Let them know about our programs and club, and how they can get their families involved.
