Join the fastest growing club in the Northwest Arkansas area.  Triple Threat Racing is your premiere coaching, education and group training resource.  Consistency is the key to meeting your goals whether you are a runner, swimmer, cyclist or triathlete.  We can help you meet your goals, have fun, stay fit, and make a difference within our community.  We are a team/community focused on action!  Triple Threat Racing welcomes all Northwest Arkansas area triathletes, runners, cyclists, swimmers, young and old, veteran and novice.

Our objective is to foster camaraderie among local athletes and to build interest in living an active lifestyle throughout the Northwest Arkansas community.

We conduct regular group training sessions, workshops and seminars to help develop our members’ abilities as triathletes.  We also hold monthly social gatherings and events in conjunction with local races.  In addition to this we hold a spring training camp that is free to club members.  A camp such as this would typically cost between $600-$1000 per athlete.

As the club continues to evolve and mature, Triple Threat Racing has adopted a Code of Ethics and Conduct to help guide members participation and interaction to ensure that we maintain the open, friendly and welcoming community that is our club. .

Jim Pustinger –

Like many of our Triple Threat club members, I found my way to endurance events through local 5K charity races and kept looking for more challenging endeavors. In 2009 I signed up for my first triathlon, a half iron distance race in Tawas, Michigan…CRAZY! But I was raising funds for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s Team in Training and bigger challenges bring bigger donations. It was an amazing experience, and I was hooked!!! Since then I’ve raced at all distances including 2 Ironman finishes, 10 marathons, 1 ultra-marathon, and in 2014 a long-time bucket list goal to complete the swim from Alcatraz. Most important, endurance sports are both a family and social activity. I frequently train and travel to events with my wife Jenni (also a TTR member) and our daughter Morgan. We love the camaraderie within Triple Threat Racing and also appreciate the personal accountability gained by training and competing with a team.

IMG_0054Whitney Sutherland –

Whitney joined Triple Threat as a club athlete in 2014. She has been competing in triathlon since 2009 covering Sprint, Olympic, and Half Ironman distances. Whitney works full time playing with numbers and products for a large retailer and unwinds by training for races. Some of her race accomplishments include: 2013 Athena champion Redman Half Ironman, age group podium finishes in all three races for the 2014 TriFest for MS Trifesta, and 5-time Athena champion for the Shark Sprint Triathlon. Whitney is active in the community as a volunteer with the Rush Running Half Marathon training program and the TriFest for MS training program for new triathletes. In 2014, Whitney began incorporating more trail running into her training to prepare for a Rim-to-Rim crossing of the Grand Canyon. That accomplishment was one of her biggest run endeavors at 24 miles of trail with lots of elevation changes. Whitney will be racing the 2015 Legends Tri 70.3 in Lawrence, Kansas and several other triathlons in Arkansas, Oklahoma, and Missouri.

Scott Hamilton –Scott Hamilton_1

Scott grew up playing multiple sports including football, basketball, baseball, and track in Northwest Arkansas until an accident broke his right hip and both arms.  After being sidelined for many years he became a recreational runner.  In 2009 he had his previously broken hip replaced with a shiny new steel one.  During recovery he became an avid cyclist and then began swimming in hopes that when he could begin running again he wanted to give a go at triathlons.

In 2011 he completed his first triathlon by doing the olympic distance at the Kansas City Triathlon followed only a few weeks later by doing the Kansas Ironman 70.3.  He was completely hooked and began competing every chance he got, including local races and other 70.3’s such as Branson, Racine, and New Orleans.

Scott completed his first full distance triathlon at Ironman Louisville in August, 2012.  He is scheduled to compete at Ironman Florida in November, 2015.
